Tree Risk Report

Summary

Tree Risk Report does not collect your data. Assessments, photographs, and generated reports are stored on your device and are not sent to us. We operate no server and have no account system, so there is nothing for us to see.

What the app stores on your device

• Client and site details you enter, including addresses
• Tree records, observations, and risk assessments
• Photographs you take in the app, with their capture time and coordinates
• PDF reports the app produces

All of this stays in the app's own storage on your device. It is included in your device backup if you have one, and in any backup file you choose to export from the app.

Location

With your permission, the app records the coordinates where each photograph was taken and writes them into the photograph's own metadata, so the report documents where the observation was made. Location is used only for this purpose. It is not tracked in the background and is not transmitted to us.

Camera and photographs

The camera is used only to take photographs for the assessment you are working on. The app does not read your photo library. Photographs taken in the app are saved in the app's own storage, not to your library.

When the app uses the network

The app is designed to work with no signal, and its records are never uploaded. There are two exceptions, both handled by Apple:

• Looking up an address. If you ask the app to fill in a site address from recorded coordinates, those coordinates are sent to Apple's geocoding service to obtain the address. This is the only assessment-related data that leaves your device, it is sent only when address lookup runs, and it is handled under Apple's Privacy Policy. You can skip this entirely by typing the address yourself.
• Subscriptions. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. The app only asks Apple whether a subscription is currently active.

Analytics, tracking, and advertising

The app contains no analytics, no crash reporting service, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs that collect data. It does not track you across apps or websites and does not request permission to do so.

Backups you create

Backup files you export are encrypted with a passphrase you choose. That passphrase is not stored on your device and is not known to us. If you lose it, the backup cannot be recovered by anyone, including us. Where you keep the backup file, and who can reach it, is under your control.

Your clients' information

Records you create may contain information about your clients and their properties. You remain responsible for that information and for any obligations you have to those clients. Deleting an assessment in the app deletes its records and photographs from the device.

Children

The app is a professional tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
